Chatty Bags is a small, independent sewing studio run by Carol and Heather — two makers based in Scotland who share a lifelong love of fabric, colour and careful craftsmanship. What began as a hobby stitched at kitchen tables has grown into a thoughtful little shop filled with one-of-a-kind bags, purses, pen cases, pin cushions and seasonal home décor.

Every piece is made by hand. We choose quality fabrics, linings and hardware, then cut and sew each item individually — so no two are ever exactly alike. From sturdy everyday crossbody bags to delicate coin purses, hand-decorated pin cushions and festive wreaths, our collection is designed to be used, loved and treasured for years rather than seasons.

Most of our work is bespoke. If you have a fabric you adore, a specific size in mind, or a gift that needs to feel truly personal, we will work with you to bring the idea to life. Tell us your colours, your measurements and your story, and we will translate it into something stitched with intention and care.

We believe handmade still means something. It means time, patience and a maker who knows your name.
